Product details

AIM is built to support the entire investment lifecycle, helping firms achieve alpha, reduce portfolio costs, manage risk and compliance, and optimize execution. AIM provides a scalable asset management technology that allows clients to grow assets on existing investments and quickly expand into new asset classes, markets, or investment styles without disruption. It is used by nearly 14,000 professionals in over 90 countries at more than 850 client firms, including some of the largest asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, pension funds, and government agencies.

Key features of AIM include: 1. Portfolio and Risk Management: Tools for benchmarking, rebalancing, and scenario analysis, along with decision support and portfolio management capabilities. 2. Order and Execution Management: Customizable workspace, electronic trading with Bloomberg Fixed Income Trading (FIT), Foreign Exchange Electronic Trading (FXET), and third-party electronic execution platforms. It also includes execution management solutions with the ability to route to over 2,300 equity destinations, including DMA and dark pools. 3. Compliance: Advanced compliance rule building, reporting, and complete audit history, supporting pre-trade, post-execution, and end-of-day compliance. 4. Operational Efficiency: Post-trade matching, settlement, reconciliation, portfolio accounting, performance measurement, data aggregation, and reporting. 5. Global Multi-Asset Coverage: Coverage of U.S. and international equities, fixed income, FX, listed equity options, futures, and OTC derivatives.

AIM is delivered on a hosted platform, eliminating the need for dedicated workstations or servers on-premises, which helps lower the total cost of ownership. Bloomberg handles the development and maintenance of the platform, including infrastructure build-outs, version upgrades, data sourcing, continual tuning, and system maintenance.

The integration with the Bloomberg Terminal allows users to leverage Bloomberg news, data, and analytics seamlessly within AIM. This integration ensures that users can move effortlessly from the Terminal to tools for portfolio management, trading, and operations, enhancing workflow efficiency and decision-making processes.
